SlashClip is a browser extension designed to help you save and quickly insert text snippets. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the extension works.

Data Storage & Privacy

All your clips and data are stored locally on your device using your browser's IndexedDB storage. Your data never leaves your machine.

  • No data is transmitted to external servers
  • No account registration is required
  • No analytics or tracking of your content
  • No cloud synchronization — everything stays on your device
  • Your clips are accessible only to you on your local browser

Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create and store using SlashClip. The clips, categories, and any text you save belong entirely to you. We do not claim any rights to your content.

Browser Permissions

SlashClip requires certain browser permissions to function:

  • Access to text fields: To enable the autocomplete feature when you type /
  • Context menu: To allow right-click "Save as clip" functionality
  • Storage: To save your clips locally in IndexedDB

Disclaimer of Warranty

SlashClip is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While we strive to maintain the extension and fix bugs, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developers of SlashClip be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the extension.
